Canadian Financial Capability Survey
An online and telephone survey that sheds light on Canadians’ knowledge, abilities and behaviours as they relate to making financial decisions. It assesses how Canadians are doing on indicators of financial well-being and informs ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening their financial literacy. The 2019 CFCS is made up of 2 data collection instruments (a core survey and a follow-up survey). The core survey covered content created in the 2009 and 2014 surveys. The follow-up survey covered new content on psychological factors, fraud, debt management and financial well-being.
